The next day...
Saturday 13 May - Cheyenne, Wyoming

This past week has been quite amazing. First, the last five months of my efforts has come to it's plateau. The amount of
work I've put into preparing for the National Stationery Show has been amazing - designing, printing, worrying and
planning...and now the driving. I closed the studio on Monday and began planning for HGTV's filming on Tuesday. My
first segment was to be a hand screened dragonfly card, so I had to get screens prepared for each step in the screen
printing process, finish a final sample card, the Hero, and get a second segment organized around my vinyl appliqué
clipboard.

The crew arrived on Wednesday with a few preparations yet to do before the cameras began rolling on Thursday. I was
exhausted and so Wednesday was a nap-filled day for me. The work got done, but so did the necessary napping. By
Thursday morning I was ready - to celebrate my renewed energy as well as to symbolize the next phase in my NSS
planning, I prepared homemade pizzas for the crew for lunchtime. By the time they arrived at 8 am, I was showered,
made up and had two thin crust pizzas finished and slowly rising in the refrigerator. My preparations were well worth
my time as the filming took 10 hours to complete, the lunch break was appreciated by all, but I think I may look a little
wilted for my second segment. You'll just have to wait for the air date in September for more detailed information.

As it is right now, I am tired. A little punchy and probably in need of a shower. The drive was beautiful and the motel is
acceptable. It is better than camping, after all that was the original plan and I am simply grateful for my own bed and a
few walls around me.

Welcome to my travel blog and once the trip has been digitally captured, I'll begin posting photographs. Thus far, I've
simply done a lot of packaging while sitting in the car.

always, t
